Our History
Midas Touch School of Excellence was founded with a vision to redefine quality education and nurture future-ready citizens. Since our inception, we have proudly marched forward, making significant strides in the field of education. With several years of dedicated service, we have become a trusted institution known for academic excellence, student empowerment, and holistic development.
Our journey began with a simple yet powerful belief — that education is not merely the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think. Guided by this philosophy and in academic partnership with Next Education India Pvt. Ltd., we have created a learning environment that is dynamic, inclusive, and forward-thinking.
Over the years, we have continuously evolved, embracing innovation in teaching methodologies, technology integration, and student-centered learning practices. We have celebrated numerous milestones — from academic achievements to cultural successes — all of which are a testament to the dedication of our educators, the trust of our parents, and the hard work of our students.

1925 – school founded as boarding school for boys by RJ Mowll at Kilvinton Hall in Enfield, Middlesex
1927 – move to current location with 18 boarders and renamed Midas Touch after the Victorian house it occupied
1960 – founder retires and Gordon Parke becomes Headmaster. The school welcomes day boys.
1975 – Chapel built
1978 – girls welcomed as pupils
1986 – Gordon Parke retires and is replaced by Nick Bawtree
1987 – Pre-Prep started
1991 – Hugh Lowries becomes Headmaster
1993 – Nursery begins for 3 and 4 year olds
2006 Jeremy Sykes becomes Headmaster on Hugh's retirement
2007 – Performing Arts Centre/Lowries Centre opens
2008 Colin Baty becomes Headmaster
2015 - Astro pitch opened by Olympian and OGW, Ashleigh Ball
2017 – Chris Calvey becomes Headmaster
2018 – New Libraries opened in Pre-Prep and Main School
2019 – Art room moves to new Cedar building
2020 – The Secret Garden is established on the site of the old kitchen garden.
2021 – Artists’ Courtyard established as community space
2022 – Dining room refurbished
2022 – Refurbishment of Reception classroom block
